Principal's Message

Welcome to Mamaroneck Avenue School—where community, connection, and curiosity come together.

At MAS, we believe that learning happens best in a caring, supportive environment. We foster a culture of inquiry and encourage our students to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow as thinkers. Just as importantly, we teach children that they have the power to make a difference—that their choices matter, and they can turn their beliefs into action.

We celebrate the differences that make each child unique and use those differences as opportunities for learning and understanding. Our school theme, “Be a good friend—the choice is yours,” helps guide children in how they interact with one another, with their community, and with the world. It's a message we weave into everything we do, helping students build empathy, responsibility, and meaningful relationships.

We also know that a strong partnership with parents and families is essential to student success. At MAS, we value open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect. Whether through classroom involvement, school events, or ongoing dialogue, we are committed to building meaningful relationships with our families.
