Principal's Message

At Mamaroneck Avenue School we foster a culture of inquiry and a community of learners. We teach our children that they can make what they believe in happen. We celebrate the differences among us, using them as opportunities for learning. The school's theme, "Celebrating Creative Expressions of Learning" focuses on nurturing the individualized ways in which our children learn. This layered approach to learning finds its basis in the theory of Multiple Intelligences. MAS acknowledges that children can learn subject matter content in a variety of ways. Thus, in addition to the traditional emphasis on linguistic and mathematical skills, other areas of intelligences are tapped in day-to-day learning.
